NEW! NanoVision Image Contest

 

Each month, ACS Nanotation Editors will choose a winning image from submissions depicting nanoscale science or nanotechnology.  Submissions will be judged on the basis of originality, artistry, and scientific/technological content. The winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card, and the winning image will be featured on our homepage!

 

The contest is open to all registered users. Registration is free, so sign up and submit an image today! Please contact acsnano@acs.org with any questions.

 

Rules and Guidelines:

 

  1. ACS employees and their family members are ineligible.
  2. Submitted images must fall under the category of “nanoscience and nanotechnology”. Images can be obtained by any imaging technique or be the result of modeling and simulation.
  3. Entrants may only submit their own original works.
  4. Images must be submitted online by the 15th of each month to be considered for that month’s contest. Images should be uploaded to the album for the appropriate category.  
  5. Multiple entries are permitted.
  6. Acceptable file formats include jpeg, tiff, png, bmp and gif files.
  7. All submitted images are subject to approval before they are posted to the site.
  8. A description must be included with the submitted image stating your name, the imaging technique used, the material being imaged, and any special filters or artistic methods used to create the image.
  9. One winner will be selected each month and awarded a $50 Visa gift card. The winner will be notified by email.
  10. ACS assumes the right to use submitted images on the homepage and in other promotional features.

  12. The contest is subject to end at any time.
